Wallace Fletcher Obituary

It is with broken hearts that our family announces the passing of Wallace Breton Fletcher, cherished and devoted husband to Debbie (McKay) Fletcher, which occurred with family by his side on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Born 1958 in Wolfville, NS, he was a son of the late Wallace and Doreen (Banks) Fletcher.

Wallace was a 21-year veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces (RCAF). His career took him to many bases and stations all across Canada as well as overseas. Upon retiring, he joined the team at Atlantic Towing where he was employed for 25 years.

Wallace was a family man and would do absolutely anything for them. He enjoyed times spent at family gatherings, on his motorcycle and especially travelling around the world and taking cruises with his soulmate Debbie.

In addition to his loving wife Debbie, with whom he spent 44 years, he is survived by his favorite oldest daughter Tricia (Michael) Melvin and his favorite youngest daughter Toni (Harry) Searle, along with his 2 precious granddaughters; Hailee and Emilee. He will be forever missed by his cherished mother in-law and friend Colleen (Nilsson) McKay, brothers in-law; Joe (Carrie) and Tony (Leighann) along with sisters in-law; Cathy (Mark) Smith, Barb (Jay) McKay and Sue (Greg) McKay.

Wallace is also mourned by his brother and co-conspirator Paul (Kelly) along with brothers Billy (Lisa), and Sean along with his 2 sisters; Anna Levy and Melody (Adam) Kuo.

In addition to his parents, Wallace is predeceased by his father in-law Joe McKay along with his brothers Anthony and Jessie.

Visitation hours will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Monday, January 23, 2023 between the hours of 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy will take place on Tuesday, January 24th at 2:00 PM from the Fundy Chapel. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
