Virginia Lois (Fownes) Berry

It is with great sadness the family of  Virginia Lois Berry would like to announce her passing which occurred on August 5th, 2026 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Moncton, NB on October 29, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Alfred and Lillian Fownes of Moncton.

Virginia will be sadly missed by her four children: Susan Stewart, Alfred (Lyla), Rob (Sue), Stephanie (Roger) Blanchard. 8 Grandchildren: Skye, Alex,  Megan, Sean, Mathew, Melissa, Ronald, Robert and  5 Great grandchildren. 

Virginia was predeceased by her husband Eric Berry, her first husband, Bob Stewart, her son, Norman Stewart, brothers, Merlin, and Don Fownes. 

Virginia worked as a realtor in Saint John, and prior to her death was a long-time resident of the Loch Lomond Villa where she made many friends and met her husband, Eric. She loved cooking,  reading, doing crosswords and spending time with her family.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The family would like to extend a sincere, thank you to all who have made a very difficult time a little more bearable, especially the Doctors, Nurses, and staff of 3B North at the Saint John Regional Hospital. 

In memory of Virginia, donations may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa Foundation or the Simonds Lions Club.
