It is with heavy hearts that the family of Victor J. Cyr announces his passing, which occurred on Friday, January 8th, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Campbellton, NB on October 3, 1947, he was the son of Georgina R. Cyr and the late Leo J. Cyr.
Victor was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He worked at Dominion Food, Floor Fashions, and had his own business in Saskatchewan called Victory Installation. Victor had a heart of gold, and will be greatly missed by all; however he will continue to be thought about by many.
His family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the medical staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital for all their help in his final days, as well as Victor's family doctor, Dr. Michael Simon.
Victor is survived by his mother Georgina Cyr, and his brothers and sisters; George Cyr (Lynn), Cathy Cyr (Tony), Louise Cyr, Earl Cyr (Sherry), Douglas Cyr (Heather), Ralph Cyr, Wayne Cyr, Leola (Cyr) McKinney (Edward), Wendell Cyr (Amber), brother-in-law Vern Garnett, as well as his son Bradford Cyr and grandsons Christian and Alexandar Cyr.
He was pre-deceased by his father Leo J. Cyr, his two sisters Gloria Cyr and Florence (Cyr) Garnett, son Christian Cyr, and nephew Benjamin McKinney.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). Due to public health requirements, visitation and the funeral service will be held for invited guests only. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
