Vernon Scott

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Vernon Stanley Scott, loving husband of Louise (Alden) Scott, announces his peaceful passing on Sunday January 31, 2021 at his residence in Summerville. Born in March of 1938 in Summerville, NB he was the son of John and Marjorie (Waddell) Scott. Vernon enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing cribbage and was a member of the Peninsula Branch Legion #62.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, Louise, he is survived by his sons Glenn (Luanne) and Rodger (Katie); daughters Linda (Tony) Nadj and Cindy (Roger) Bryanton; brothers Joseph (Mitzi), Ron (Bette), sister-in-law Bonnie Scott; sister Barbara (Larry) Davis; grandchildren Kendra, Zoe, Ace, McKinley, Harlie, Nathaniel, Ellen and Delilah; great-grandchildren Silas, Callie, Emily, Oliver, Mason, Xander and Kyra.  

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his step-father William Bain, brothers John and Harold Scott.

The family would like to express their sincerest appreciation to Vernon’s caregivers Janie and Sonja for the compassionate care given to Vernon throughout his illness. Also, special thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours for your support and strength – your kindness will never be forgotten.  

Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424). A private Celebration of his Life will be held on our 60th Wedding Anniversary. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
