Our family is heartbroken to announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Travis Joseph Thomas, 37, which occurred at his home in Mispec, New Brunswick on Friday, March 24, 2023. Born in Saint John on September 4, 1985, he was a son of Debbie MacNeill (Gary) and Trueman Thomas.
Travis was a pipefitter by trade and a member of the Local 213 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. In addition to this, he worked as a labourer and was a proud member of Local 900.
When he was well, Travis was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed days which were spent biking, hunting and fishing. Many will remember the countless number of hours that Travis spent in his garage, tinkering with what ever he could and entertaining his mascot, Riley.
Above all else, Travis was a family man who cherished and loved each person in his life.
In addition to his parents Truman and Debbie (Gary), Travis is survived by his loving wife Karla Renouf and his cherished daughters; Alli and Avery Thomas.
Also left to mourn are his parents in-law; Norma and Wayne Manuel who was always there when needed, stepfather; Gary MacNeill, along with his sister, Jessica Thomas (Mike) and 3 special nephews; Dakota, Aden and Jaxson. He will always be remembered by his step sisters and brothers; Emily MacNeill, Laura Dincorn, Kevin MacNeill, Cheryl Humble and Cari Hachey.
Travis is predeceased by his stepfather Ed Humble and stepbrother Troy Fulton.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Although there will be no formal visitation, immediate family and close friends are invited to Mispec Cemetery on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023 at 1:00 PM where we will share stories and lay Travis to his place of rest.
