Tommy Jesso

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph Thomas “Tommy” Jesso which occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on Saturday, July 24th, 2021.  Tommy was born in Saint John, NB on January 18th, 1938.  In his adult life, he continued living in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Tommy comes from a family of 3, which includes his mother Evelina “Eve” and father Michael.  He married his wife Theresa and together they raised 7 children; Ann Marie, Patricia (Louis), Angela, Terry, Mary (Keith), Joseph and Sue Ellen.  Tommy also has 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Tommy attended church at Garnett Settlement Christian Church and was an active volunteer doing various things and activities.  He attended Simonds High School and went on to work as a Car Mechanic and Pipe Fitter.

Tommy enjoyed family time the most, reading and being with people.  He loved animals and used to paint, draw and play guitar.  His favorite kind of music was country western and he liked to watch stock car races.  Some of his favorite treats were homemade food.

Some favorite memories for Tommy were helping build the Airport Field for the All-Stars Baseball Team, working on the farm with animals, building guitars and working on old cars as a Body Technician.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, July 29th from 2 to 6 p.m.  A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at Garnett Settlement Christian Church.  Donations in memory of Tommy may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
