It is with great sadness the family of Timmy Hamm announce his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital following a period of failing health on Friday September 23rd, 2022. Born in Saint John June 30th of 1929, he is the son of the late Philip and Florence Leila (Duplissie) Hamm.
Timmy was a hardworking, dedicated man who was an accomplished Engineer working for CPR for over 48 years, retiring in the mid 90’s .He had a passion for prospecting and was on the hunt for mineral in New Brunswick and as far as British Columbia. He built many roads for the search and enjoyed every minute of it. An avid outdoorsman Timmy connected with nature and its beauty every chance he could.
Timmy is survived by his loving companion of over 26 years Carol Belyea; sister Joan Mackenzie; children Ruth Cleveland (Ross), David Hamm and Peter Hamm (Cecilia Taddeo); Marie Hamm (Arnie), George Hamm, Elizabeth Hamm (Jim) and Dana Olsen (Steve); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Along with his parents Timmy was predeceased by sisters Constance Carter and Marion McLeod; daughter-in-law Mary Palmer and former spouses Jo-anne (Doering) Hamm and Dorothy (Saunders) Hamm.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) By Timmy’s request cremation has taken place and no services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to ElderDog Canada www.elderdog.ca
