Thomas “Tom” Everett Tracey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Everett Tracey, who left us peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 74.

Thomas, fondly known as Tom (AKA Bomber), was a man of great faith and love who lived a life of selflessness and devotion. Born to Helen and Aulden Tracey on October 4, 1950, Tom was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Terri, but is lovingly remembered by his siblings Carol, Jim, Janice, and Sylvia.

Tom’s greatest pride and joy were his children—Chris, Lisa, Tina, Sandra, and Ryan—and his legacy is carried forward by his cherished grandchildren: Corey, Candice, Tyler R-D, Joseph, Sebastian, Riley, Tyler D, Abby, Alexandra, Zoey, Daniella, and Gabriella. Also a great grandchild Aubrey.

A proud veteran of the armed forces, Tom served his country as a Master Seaman, embodying honor and dedication throughout his career. Beyond his service, Tom touched countless lives through his steadfast support as a dear friend of Bill W. for nearly 40 years.

Tom had a special passion for music and was a talented, self-taught guitar player who brought joy to many with his melodies. The Tracey family camp on Mackin Lake held a special place in his heart, where he created countless happy memories with loved ones. Tom also had an adventurous spirit, frequently embarking on road trips to visit family.

An avid hockey enthusiast, Tom both played and loved the game until he was no longer able. His selflessness, big heart, and love for his family and faith left an indelible mark on those who were lucky enough to know him.

Tom’s life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

A service to honour Tom’s life will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506) 646-2424 on Friday, April 4th with visitation from 12 pm - 1 pm and the service at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel. The family welcomes friends and loved ones to join in remembering and celebrating his remarkable life.
