Thelma Eileen (Fairweather) Clayton

While we celebrate a life well lived, we grieve for the passing of Thelma Eileen (Fairweather) Clayton. Her death occurred on September 2, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Thelma was born in Lower Norton, NB on February 2, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Leigh and Marjorie (Earle) Fairweather.

Throughout her life, Thelma was a home maker who always looked after the needs of her family.

She will be remembered as a lady of love and kindness. Thelma shared an amazing sense of humour, enjoyed listening to country music, square dancing and just taking time to watch the birds in the outdoors. She always enjoyed the simple things in life.

Thelma is survived by her husband Roy and her daughter; Heather Carroll (George) and her 2 sons,  Danny McKenney (Sheryl) and Darryl McKenney (Joan). She is also remembered by her stepchildren; Chris Clayton (Ann) and Kim Stubbs (Tim Greer).

Thelma will be forever remembered by her 8 grandchildren; Dottie, Shawn, Belinda, Daniel, Chelsea, C.J, Shana and Shianne, along with several great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her first husband Ronald McKenney and her sister Margaret McKim.

Our family would like to thank Gail of Integrity and the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa for their care and compassion shown towards Thelma and our family.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation hours will be held on Friday, September 10th beginning at 11 AM followed by the funeral service at 2 PM. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery.
