Terrance Peterson

PETERSON, TERRANCE EDWARD – It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Terrance Edward “Terry” Peterson which occurred at Shannex-Cohen Hall on Monday, March 25th, 2024.  Born on May 23rd, 1952, in Saint John, he is the son of the late Charles and Doris (Bishop) Peterson.  Terry worked at the Atlantic Sugar Refinery until closed moving on to Maritime Paper before retiring from Service Master at the Canaport LNG in 2016.  Terry was a great handyman who loved to tinker with carpentry, helping many with their projects over the years.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Terry is survived by his daughter Cheryl Lydon (Erin); sisters Nona MacLaren, Starr Cashwell(Roger), Tanya Peterson and Kelly McIntyre(Bruce); precious granddaughter Olivia; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Terry was predeceased by his wife Laurie, brother Dennis (Susan), sisters Karen and Heather (Jim), brothers-in-law Lorne and Willis and nephew Anthony. 

The Family would like to give a special "Thank You" to the staff of Shannex Cohen Hall Nursing home for the care and support they have provided Terry.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Monday, April 1st at 11 a.m.  Interment will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Terry may be made to Canadian Lung Association, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
