Susan Elizabeth Spear

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Susan Elizabeth Spear, at her residence on July 25, 2020.  She was born in Saint John on August 26, 1959 to the late Lyman and Margaret Elizabeth “Betty” (Martin) Spear.

Susie worked her entire career as a Bartender and Server at the Delta Hotel, which she loved and took great pride in her time spent there.  Her personality really fit the job.  She was quiet but she was a very social person who made friends easily.  She was a thoughtful and funny person, with a quirky personality that made everyone smile and always had a joke to tell.  Susie had a pair of funky earrings for every occasion - and then some - and you never knew what kind of gift she was going to give you.  She loved animals and leaves behind her kitty, Klio, whom she loved very much.  She loved to travel and through work and her personality, made a lot of friends along the way.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. 

She is survived by her special nieces and nephew, Jennifer (Andrew) Welton, Jeanette (Dave) Wheaton, Douglas Wilkes and Trisha Cadeau; adored great nephews, Kole Wheaton, Kooper Wheaton, Chase Welton and Jaxson Cadeau.  She is also survived by David Spear and Bonny Daviault as well as cousins and many friends. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  In keeping with Susan’s wishes, no public visitation or funeral service will take place.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, donations to the Musquash Fire Department or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
