It is with profound sadness that the family of Stephanie Tracey-Sweeney announce her sudden passing on March 2, 2026.
Born in Saint John, New Brunswick on April 11, 1982, she had a gentle spirit and a warmth that made those around her feel welcome and understood.
Stephanie is survived by her loving parents, Pamela (Will) Mabee (née Losier) and Daryl (Jean) Tracey; her spouse Danny Sweeney; her cherished children Wesley Tracey-Leblanc, Dominick Allen, Cori-Lyn Allen, and Emma Allen; her brothers Allan Tracey, Adam Tracey and Andrew Tracey; and special cousin Cynthia Howe . She is also survived by her grandmothers, Judy Losier and Linda Losier. Stephanie was a proud grandmother to Chloe, Jaxon, Kayden, and Journee, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She is also lovingly remembered by her best friend, Linda Mowery.
She was predeceased by her great-grandparents Kenneth and Helen Losier; great-grandmother Marie Kennedy; grandparents Melvin and Mary Catherine Hayes; grandfathers John Losier and Lloyd Mabee; grandmothers Ruth Trecartin and Ruth Horton; her uncle Leo Hayes; and her dear best friend Erin Breen.
Stephanie found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved to read and could often be found enjoying a good book during quiet moments. She also loved visiting local parks to feed the ducks, and she often spent peaceful evenings watching airplanes descend across the evening sky at the airport. Stephanie had a love for hockey—especially cheering for her gramps’ favorite team, the Colorado Avalanche—and she had a fondness for dulse, a Maritime treat she would often share with her cat.
To those who knew her, Stephanie will be remembered for her caring heart, her loyalty to those she loved, and the way she could turn an ordinary day into something meaningful simply by sharing it with others. Her memory will live on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the stories told by family, and the quiet places she loved so much.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 PM at Fundy Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. As March is Epilepsy Awareness Month, those attending are invited to wear their favorite purple clothing in Stephanie’s memory.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick or the Epilepsy Canada in honor of Stephanie’s life and memory.
Stephanie will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
