Shirley Marie LeBlanc

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Shirley Marie LeBlanc of Saint John, who passed away on January 21, 2026, at St. John-St. Stephen Nursing Home.

Born March 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Allsion and Ada (Collins) McKeil.

Shirley was a one-of-a-kind lady, she had a quick wit and was outspoken, she said it the way it was. Shirley was a talented baker, and artist who put her hand at ceramics and quilting. A former member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #53 Auxiliary, Lions Club Lancaster Branch for over 10 years and a former member of the Maple Leaf Glades. She wore many hats in her day from running a convenience store to driving taxi and dispatch.

Those who knew and loved Shirley will miss her forever.  She is survived by her close’s daughter Tracy Mason and son-in-law Brian Mason; daughters Laura, Lisa and Joyce; and sons Michael and Jimmy; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her sister Doris Rogers, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Along with her parents Shirley is predeceased by her husband Charles LeBlanc; son Paul Hallett; brothers Charles, John, Donald and George McKiel and a sister Irma McPhail.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) By Shirley’s request there will be no visitation or service.
