Shirley Ann Wilson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley Ann Wilson announce her passing at Bobby’s Hospice on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the age of 75 years old. Born in Saint John on December 14, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of the late James Thomas and Audrey Jean (Nee. Stewart) Owens.

Shirley lived her life with compassion, quiet strength, and unwavering faith. A devoted Christian and a follower Higher Life Church online as she could no longer attend church in person and found great comfort with her relationship with God. Her loved ones take peace in knowing she is reunited with him.

Always enjoying life’s simple pleasure, Shirley loved tending to her flowers, reading a book or faithfully keeping up with her favorite show, Coronation Street. She cherished her dear friendship with Brenda and Gail, shared a close and loving relationship with her sister Barb, and always looked forward to visiting her brother James in Moncton. Above all, the love of her life was David and her beloved dog Niki, who brought her endless companionship and happiness.

She leaves behind her husband David; children Scott and Kimberly (Matthew); grandchildren Emma, Scarlett, Kassy, Brittany, Ben, Katelynne; great grandchildren Kyleigh, Karlee and Brooklyn; brother James (Cindy) Owens and sister Barbara (Larry) Waddell; Nieces Susan, Karen, Janice, and nephew Ryan; Best Friends Brenda and Gail.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of 3C South at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Dr. Onosona, Dr. O’Brien, Dr. Love, and the nurses and staff of Bobby's Hospice for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they showed Shirley throughout her journey.
