Shirley Elizabeth Kyle

After several years of failing health, Shirley Elizabeth Kyle passed away peacefully at the Turnbull Nursing Home on Thursday, June 26, 2025.

Shirley is survived by her son, Peter (Cheryl) and their children, Shannon (Matt) Lawton, Lindsay Kyle (Melissa Thibodeau ) Mallory (Nick) Fleck, son Paul, his former wife, Janet Kyle and their children Courtenay Kyle Gosse ( Chris Gosse) ,Curtis (Fran Menton ), Cara, Connor (Grace O’Brien), Kathy Baker, Kyle, Shirley’s brother, Michael(Kathy)Logan of Prince Albert Saskatchewan, her great grandchildren, Landen, Sadie and Evelyn Lawton, Deacon Gosse, Lily and Lucas Kyle, Logan and Abigail Kyle ,step great grandchild James O’Brien.

Shirley was predeceased by her parents Archer and Madeline( nee Wilkins) Logan, husband Jack Kyle and her son Terry”Ted”Kyle, sisters Pat Gray, Barb MacDonald, Janet Toth, brothers, Howard Logan, Hartley “Buddy” Logan.

Shirley loved sports and was the consummate hockey mom and spent countless hours in the rinks and ball parks as her children were growing up. Shirley was also an avid bowler and participated in many provincial tournaments. She will be lovingly missed by her family.

Shirley has resided at Turnbull Nursing Home for the past two years and we are very grateful for the care and compassion the staff gave to her, and we appreciate the way we were made to feel welcome.

Cremation has taken place. The family will be gathering privately for Committal Service in Fernhill Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In keeping with Shirley’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. The family will have a private graveside committal at Fernhill Cemetery later.
