Shirley Flower

It is with much sadness the family of Shirley Flower; former resident of Riverdale Manor, Hampton and Gondola Point, announce her passing which occurred at the Church of St. John-St. Stephen Nursing Home on Thursday September 16, 2021, after a period of failing health.

Born in Bridgend, Kenfig Hill, Wales on March 13th, 1934, she was the only child of the late John “Peng” and Margaret “Megan” (Williams) Flower. Shirley had a successful career as Sales Representative for Valla Gass, Southern England. She immigrated to Canada in 1977 and was a passionate Real Estate Agent for over 30 years until her retirement in 2010.

 Shirley was spirited lady with a wicked sense of humour; who loved to have fun and travel.  She was a talented photographer who enjoyed capturing special moments of those she loved.

Shirley was a dedicated daughter who cared for her mother Megan for many years.

Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her Uncle Ted Harrison (Bernice) of Dartmouth, NS; dear cousin William John “Bill” Harrison (Wanda); their children and grandchildren; Anne O’Brien (Shawna) and Melissa Harrison (Chris) & Adrian and Nate. Along with her parents she was predeceased by her Aunt Gwyneth Harrison, Uncle Glyndwr Williams and canine companions Leza, Sam, Max and Jade .

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A private family service will be held at a later date.
