With heavy hearts, the family of Shawn Wesley White announces his passing on August 5, 2026.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, on June 15, 1981, Shawn was the beloved son of Carol Steeves and the late Mark White, and stepson to Larry Steeves.
Shawn will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Aurora Alice White; his brother, Shane White; and his sisters, Shanna White (Nick Hawkins) and Sherry White Harris (Christopher). He will also be sadly missed by his special aunts, Melody Pescador and Shelley Carrier, along with his many nieces and nephews, who will cherish the memories they shared with him.
Music was one of Shawn’s greatest passions. A talented and creative musician, he wrote more than 3,000 original songs throughout his life. Entirely self-taught, Shawn learned to play both the guitar and drums and enjoyed sharing his love of music by performing as a local musician at various venues. His passion and talent even led him to compete on Canadian Idol, an experience that reflected his determination to pursue his love of music.
While music held a special place in Shawn’s heart, nothing compared to the love he had for his daughter, Aurora. She was his greatest joy and his proudest accomplishment. Above all, Shawn will be remembered for his love of life, his creativity, his passion for music, and the love he had for those who were closest to him.
Aside from his father, Shawn was predeceased by his two uncles Kevin White, Gil White as well as his aunt Bonnie Poirier.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).
