Shawn Malley

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Joseph Shawn Malley which occurred suddenly at his home on Saturday, January 20th, 2018.  Born 1970, in Toronto, ON, he was the son of Winnie (Arseneault) and the late Leonard Malley.  Shawn worked at Wyndham for 18 years.  He loved listening to music, playing Cards Against Humanity and watching UFC.  Shawn’s laugh was unique and infectious. He loved spending time with his family and his children were his entire world.

Along with his mother, Shawn is survived by his loving girlfriend Denise Bull of Eastern Passage, NS; children Ethan and Lexxi  Malley of Lakeside, NB; sisters Sylvia Robichaud (Gerald ) of Saint John; Gloria Malley-Jacob (Jacob) of Alberta; as well as nieces and nephews Ryan, Travis, Janika, Shawn, Brennan and Adrien; great niece Charlie and many family and friends.  Besides his father, Shawn was predeceased by his son Benjamin and his sister Sheila.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, January 25th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.  A Celebration of Life will take place from the former St. Joachim’s Church (603 Loch Lomond Road) on Friday, January 26th at 12 noon followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Donations in Shawn’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society-Melanoma Division, The Joshua Group, SPCA-Animal Rescue or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
