It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Althea (Lloyd) Teare of Saint John, NB who passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, NB on June 13th, 2022. Sharon was born October 14th, 1948, in Saint John, New Brunswick to the late Robert and Joy (Cummings) Lloyd.
Sharon was a devoted Catholic who in earlier years attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She shared a love for bingo and lived each day with unconditional love towards her family and community. Sharon dedicated 45 years working as a home care provider and will always be remembered as someone who was loyal, supportive, compassionate and always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her son Thomas Lloyd (Joanne) and daughters Tanya Teare, Sharon Teare, Esther Teare (Heath Johnston) and Theresa O’Toole (Jason Wilkins); her 15 grandchildren Cody, Ciara, Dylan, Hudson, Joy, Kissia, Angelo, Katina, Kayla, Richard, Ryan, Amber, Kara, Christopher, and Shayla ; great grandchildren Ariana, Ambrose, Rhea, Sophia, Madelyn Carmina, Kaisen, Keegan and Matteo; her surviving siblings: brothers Michael and David Lloyd (Nicole) and sisters Debbie Levesque (Steve), Charlene Lloyd and Kathy Lloyd; as well as her best friend and sister in-law Theresa Lloyd, special aunt and bingo buddy Kathleen Young and special friends Laurie Comeau, Charles Hogan and several nieces and nephews.
She will always be remembered by her fur buddy Tucker.
Along with her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her grand daughter Darcy Mailman-Teare; stepdaughter Ann Bailey; her sisters Ruth Watson and Marlene Cummings; and brothers Gordon, John and Keith Lloyd.
Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday June 15th, 2022, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Sharon’s life will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, June 16th, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Greenwood Cemetery.
