With heavy hearts, the family of Sharon Barry announces her passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 15th, 2023. Sharon was born in Saint John on December 13, 1946; a daughter of the late George and Marguerite (Kearns) Parks, and the loving spouse of the late Ira Lynch. Sharon spent her working years at the Loch Lomond branch of Bayview Credit Union, along with various other branches across the province, and was well liked by all the members. She was a hard working, strong woman, a devoted wife, and a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Sharon’s favourite program to watch was Mountain Monsters, and she loved her pets, gardening, and watching the hummingbirds. Surviving are her children; daughter Wendy McEachern (Mike) of Alberta, son Rick of Hampton, brothers Randy Parks (Darlene) and Kevin Parks (Ann), sisters Janice Gaudet (the late John) and Marilyn LeBlanc (Raymond), sisters-in-law Lorinda and Annette Parks, grandchildren Justin Fulton (Jessica), Cory Fulton, Michael Barry (Charlene) and Emily Barry, as well as great-grandchildren Sophia Barry, Dominic Barry, and Zoey Barry, as well as her beloved cat Sunny, along with several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, and her spouse Ira, Sharon was pre-deceased by her brothers Delbert, Michael, Dwayne, Brian, and Bernie, as well as her sister, Patsy Parks, and her best friend and confidant Alice Vicars.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, May 20th from 1-2 p.m, followed by a Memorial Service in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
