Sandra Walker Obituary

It is with somber hearts that the family of Sandra Louise (Miller) Walker announces her peaceful passing, surrounded by family on March 16th, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She will be forever remembered with great love from her husband Jerry of 52 years, her children; Jerry (Paula), John (Mary), Joe (Becky), Jeffery (Yvonne), Janice (Skip), sisters; Sylvia (Peter) and Judy, 13 grand children, 5 great grandchildren & several nieces and nephews.

Sandra is predeceased by her parents Ruby and Joshua Miller, brother Joe Miller, sister Carol Miller and her sweet boy Joshua the Youngest of the Walker clan.

Sandra’s life began April 29, 1945 in Saint John, NB. She enjoyed her younger years with her brother and sisters adventuring together, going to dances and concerts. On her way to one of those concerts; after hearing her future husbands Jerry’s voice she fell in love. Together they raised 6 rambunctious children. She had a real soft spot in her heart for kids, so much so she babysat many of the neighborhood hooligans. In her spare time, she always looked forward to traveling, if that was a camping trip to Fundy National Park, down to visit her sisters or weekends spent at her parents. You knew when you went to her house you were never going to leave hungry. Her love for food really showed in her cooking from her special sticky buns, homemade pizzas to her famous apple pies. Sandra not only loved cooking but enjoyed the adventure of picking blueberries for ridiculously good blueberry cake, and family trips to pick periwinkles. Shopping with Sandy was something special, you knew you were going to find the best deals in town especially the yard sales. You could rely on Sandra for a listening ear; she was always just a phone call away. Later in life when her children were grown, you could catch her watching her day time talk shows, doing her sudoku puzzles and watching her grandchildren; her door was always open.

Sandy was a long-time baptized servant of Jehovah, having shared her hope for a future paradise on earth to many.
