Roy Allan Murphy

With heavy hearts the family of Roy Allan Murphy, loving husband of Joan (Arbo) Murphy, announces his passing on Sunday December 1, 2019 at his residence. Born in Yarmouth Co., NS on the 7 day of June, 1947, he was the son of the late Victor and Almira (Spinney) Murphy.

In addition to his loving wife of 52 years, Joan, he is survived by his children Lara Murphy (Liv Kolbe), Aaron Murphy (Lori) and Olivia Murphy; brother Douglas Murphy (Gail); sister Oretha Forsythe; sisters-in-law Shirley and Irene; grandchildren Bobby (Alisha), Bethany, Lyndsey, Liam, Gareth, Mya and Anwen; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings Bill, Avery and Ashley and canine companion Ebony.

Following cremation, visitation will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 36 Mountain Rd., on Wednesday December 4, 2019 from 2-7 p.m. A Celebration of His Life will be held at Forest Hills Baptist Church on Thursday December 5, 2019 at 11 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to the Forest Hills Baptist Church Building Reno Fund or the charity of one's choice.
