It is with heartfelt sadness the family announces the passing of Murray Charles Roy MacDonald on October 27, 2025, at 83 years of age. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 43 years Winnifred Christine MacDonald (Shears), grandson, Jared Blennas Noiles and three half-brothers Stewart (Diane) Wills, George Wills, and John Wills.
He leaves behind his sole daughter, Lorie Anne Noiles (Lloyd Parks), his brother Herman (Rosalie) Wills, sister Mary Stewart, and foster sister JoAnn Brown. He also leaves behind many close nieces and nephews and truly dear friends.
He was a tinsmith (sheet metal worker) by trade and worked at the Irving Paper Mill (formerly Rothsay Paper) for 34 years before retiring at the age of 55. After a challenging childhood in an orphanage, he was brought into foster care by Joan and Victor Brown and became a very knowledgeable and successful man.
He lived through many stages of varying interests and hobbies in life and made it a point to “perfect and master” each one. He was the “go-to guy” in the neighbourhood (from young to old) when anything needed fixing and always loved a challenge. He enjoyed nature and the outdoors in all seasons… Fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and put many lifetime miles by car and on foot just appreciating the great outdoors.
He had a great sense of humour and always had some good jokes on hand. He will be remembered and deeply missed by many.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home. In keeping with Roy’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in memory of Roy can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
