Roy Brideau

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Roy Brideau, loving husband of the late Joan (Daigle) Brideau, announce his peaceful passing at home on Wednesday March 16, 2022. He was born in Saint John on December 24, 1943 to the late Domice and Marie (Gionet) Brideau.

Roy was employed with the Saint John Shipyard for over 30 years as a Serviceman. He loved the outdoors and had a passion for hunting and fishing. Roy was a devoted family man and will be deeply missed.  

He is survived by his children Kevin Brideau (Terri) of Saint John, Kim Foster (Dana) of Barnesville and Joe Brideau (Stacey) of Saint John; brothers Armand (Pat) and Gerald (Jeannie); sisters Theresa, Linda (Lawrence), Brenda (Bob), Delcia (Malcolm) and Patsy (Gary); grandchildren Kevin Jr. (Liz), Jo-Ellen (Cody), Marcus (Robin), Cory (Ali), Alana, Kyle (Chantelle), Cameron (Brittany), Colby and great grandsons Jayson, Thomas, Lincoln; sister-in-law Yolande Brideau and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Rodney Brideau.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home where visitation will be held on Sunday March 20th from 2-8 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will take place from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday March 21st at 11am.
