Rosalie Elsie Wood

Rosalie Elsie Wood (née Boyd) of Saint John, New Brunswick passed away June 2nd, 2026 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home. She was born on August 29, 1937 in Hatfield Point.

Rosalie was predeceased by her husband William Wood, her parents Elsie and Everett Boyd, her brothers Garnet and Howard Boyd, her sister-in-law Barb Wood and brother-in-law Ron Wood (late Aileen).

She is survived by her children Suzanne (Neal), Keith and Robert, her chosen son Kevin, her grandchildren Seger (Sienna), Jake and Gabriella, her sisters-in-law Paulette and Eileen, her brother-in-law Frank, as well as countless nieces, nephews and friends who will remember her fondly.

It is hard to fit so much life into these short sentences. Those who were lucky enough to know Rosalie will understand this, as she approached each day with a vigour and a joy that touched everyone around her. While she was blessed with many wonderful qualities, it is perhaps most impressive that she never lost the openness, the generosity, or the playfulness of childhood. Rosalie lived to laugh and to share with those she loved, and will always be remembered for the fullness of her spirit.

A funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home, Monday June 22 at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the Bayview Cemetery (Hatfield Point), the Salvation Army, or a charity of your choice.
