Rosa Robichaud Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the family of Rosa Marie Robichaud announces her unexpected passing on July 18, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

She is survived by her two sons, Adam Smith (Sora Jeung) and James Ferris of Calgary, Alberta, her mother, Carmelle (Breau) Robichaud and her two sisters, Tina (Chris Legault) and Sylvie (Chris Leadbeater), along with nephew Bradley and nieces Emily, Sophia and Julie, many aunts and uncles, cousins as well as an honorary granddaughter Ashley.

She is also survived by her innumerable friends who will miss her so much.

She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Crevier, her father, Elizé Robichaud and her baby brother, Larry Robichaud.

Born in Newcastle, NB on February 12, 1959, she began her education at St. Patrick Elementary School in Saint John.  During her junior high school years, her family returned to Neguac before moving back to Saint John, where she attended St. Vincent's High School and completed her secondary education.

Throughout her life, Rosa worked in a variety of roles, most notably as an administrator for the Last Post Fund and as a customer service representative for Wyndham. In retirement, she discovered a true passion for quilting, which quickly became one of her greatest joys.  She was an active member of the Marco Polo Quilting Guild and loved sharing her enthusiasm for the craft by organizing quilting bus tours throughout the maritimes and attending quilting retreats with fellow enthusiasts.

Never one to stop embracing new adventures, Rosa decided to step outside her comfort zone and pursue a lifelong curiosity - acting. With her trademark enthusiasm and adventurous spirit, she was accepted as an extra in her very first production in the Saint John and surrounding areas, proving that it is never too late to try something new.

She had recently joined the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69, where they had a Senior Friendship Games which introduced her to many new activities, such as darts, shuffle board, pickleball etc.

Since the passing of her husband in 2025, Rosa rediscovered her zest for life and embraced every opportunity for new adventures.  She made grand plans to explore more of New Brunswick through car camping and was determined to make the most of each day.  Never one to shy away from a challenge, she set her sights on TimberTop Adventures near Dominion Park and proudly conquered the zip line experience .  Rosa’s adventurous spirit knew no bounds. She dreamed of skydiving, learning to ride a motorcycle, and taking a cross country train journey across Canada.  Knowing Rosa, we’re certain her bucket list was much longer than any of us realized.

Rosa was so kind and giving, she even opened up her home to a Guatemalan immigrant back in the 1990s. She found joy in trying new culinary delights and was always eager to share when she attended family gatherings with those she loved.  She was a wonderful storyteller.  She always had something to say - whether it was a funny anecdote, a piece of wisdom, or a spirited opinion.

Her generosity knew no bounds.  It was her mission to make sure all of her family members received one of her famous quilts.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the MICU at the Saint John Regional Hospital for the excellent care they provided to Rosa in her final days.

She also loved animals and will be greatly missed by her 4 cats. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Red Head Strays in her memory, or the Heart and Stroke foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, where visitation will be held Saturday July 25th, 2026, from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, followed by Funeral Liturgy in the Chapel at 2:00 PM.

Your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten.

The family of Rosa Robichaud.
