Ronald Joseph McLeod

It is with sadness that the family of Ronald Joseph McLeod wish to announce his passing which occurred on October 11, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Born in Stephenville Crossing, NF, on August 27, 1946, he was the son of the late George and Harriet (Tobin) McLeod.

Ron worked in the grocery business all his life.  He began with Save Easy, IGA and retired from the Atlantic Superstore.  He enjoyed baseball, cheering for the Blue Jays, and hockey with the Maple Leafs.  He enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles and enjoyed television.

He is survived by his sons, Sean (Allie) and Scott (Vanessa), his former wife Irene Robinson, his brothers, George (Margaret), Cornelius, and Alcide, sisters Matilda Hall, Eileen Smith, Rose-Anna McLaughlin (Dean) and Linda Molasky (Allan), his grandchildren, Mackenzie Cronin (Raymund), Kailey Campbell (Matthew), Rylan McLeod, Donovan McLeod, Mikey McLeod and Sadie McLeod,  and his great-grandchildren Ellie Cronin and Casey McLeod, along with his extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Melvin and Samuel as well as brother-in-law Kenneth Smith and sister-in-law Johanne McLeod.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, 506-646-2424.  At his request cremation will take place with no visiting hours or funeral service.  Those who wish can make a memorial donation to the charity of their choice.
