Ronald “Ron” James Morrison passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 30, 2026. He passed only a few weeks prior to what would have been his 90th birthday. Ron is now with the love of his life, his beloved wife, Marg of 64 years. Our hearts ache with the passing of Ron, but we find peace in knowing he is reunited with his one true love.
Ron was born in North Devon, Fredericton, NB, on May 25, 1936, Ron was one of 4 children born to the late Louis and Louise (nee. Bernard) Morrison.
Ron is survived by his daughter Christine (Floyd); son Brent (Cindy); grandchildren Nicole (Andrew) and Sean; his great granddaughter Sara; step granddaughter Jillian (Caleb) and their sons Louis and Arthur; brother Wayne (Bonnie) Morrison; as well as many nieces and nephews and their children.
Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by his wife Margaret Morrison (nee. Wiggins); brother Carl; twin-brother Donald “Donnie” Morrison; and sister Nora Murray.
Ron graduated from Fredericton High School and then went to work for NB Power in 1956. He retired in 1992 from the Courtney Bay Generating Station in Saint John. He and Marg enjoyed a long, healthy, and happy retirement, spending much of their time at their cottage in Whites Cove NB. Ron loved thrifting with his daily trips to secondhand stores; boating, fishing and sailing; and golfing, which was his passion. Ron enjoyed sharing everything he had with his family and friends and was always happy to have company for a drink on the deck. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter and grandson and his many grand puppies. Ron lived his life to the fullest while also ensuring that his children would have all the support they needed to move through life with success.
