Obituary

It is with sad hearts the family of Ron Hitchcock announce his passing which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on May 21, 2021. Born in Grand Falls, March 9th of 1933, he was the son of the late Leonard and Edith (Watson) Hitchcock. Ron was a teacher at Southern Victoria High School in Perth-Andover for over 30 years retiring in 1986. He was a dedicated member of the Free and Accepted Masons of New Brunswick and a Past Master of the Benjamin Lodge in Perth-Andover; he was an accomplished wood worker, and an avid skier for many years. He enjoyed motor cycling, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, travelling, snowbirding, music, amateur radio, and being with family and friends. Ron enjoyed the fun of life. Ron is survived by his loving wife Arlene Hitchcock; children Wayne Hitchcock (Audrey), and Tom Hitchcock (Anita); grandchildren Ginny Adams (Rich), Erin Hitchcock (Jay), Alex Hitchcock (Chonchanok) and Marsha Hitchcock (Heather); great-grandchild Fiona Adams; sister Esma Taylor; nieces, nephews and friends.  

Per Ron’s and the family’s wishes there will be no service or visitations.
