Roger J. Landry

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Roger Joseph Landry which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020.  Born 1944, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Julian and Corinne (Poirier) Landry.  Roger worked as a Pipefitter/Welder at the Saint John Ship Building for 10 years and with Local 213 for 45 years.  He was a member of the Red Chevron Club and Pirates Cove Trailer Club.  Roger enjoyed having coffee each morning with his friends at McCallister Place.

Roger is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jean (Goguen) of 61 years; son Michael Landry of Calgary, AB; daughter Kaitlyn Landry of Saint John; brothers Frederick Landry (Barbara) of Winnipeg, Jack Landry (Denise) of Kingston Peninsula; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.  Besides his parents, Roger was predeceased by his brothers Leon and Raymond and sister Linda. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). ATTENTION:  Due to the ongoing pandemic, a Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Friday, May 29th at 11 a.m.  Provincial guidelines are being followed and effective Friday, May 29th, gatherings are limited to 10 people. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date.
