Roberta Marie Melanson

It is with heavy hearts the family of Roberta Marie Melanson announces her passing, which occurred on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Born in Fawcett Hill, on June 16, 1937, she was a daughter of the late George and Laura Wasson.

Roberta is survived by her children Donna Hamm (Stephen), Melanie Melanson, and John Melanson, as well as her special niece Mary McMurray (Art); brother Larry Wasson; sister Dorothy Wasson; grandchildren Erin, Jared, Emily, Allison, Bailey, Cameron, Justin, Julia and Claudia; great-grandchildren Jack, Liam, Olivia, Nora, Iris, Paisley and Piper; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Roberta was predeceased by her siblings Ivan, Perry, Ada, Altha, Dora, and Norma.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 2:00 – 4:00 & 6:00 – 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at First Wesleyan Church on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM. For those who wish, donations in Roberta’s memory may be made to any charity for animals.
