Robert "Bob" Arthur Wood

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2020 from 2 to 8 p.m. Staff will be available at the main entrance of the funeral home to assist guests with social distancing measures when they arrive. Please note that physical distancing restrictions will be observed during the gathering. A graveside service will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Procession from the funeral home will leave at 10:15 a.m. 

Remembrances in memory of Bob may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice. 

It is with heavy hearts the family of Robert “Bob” Arthur Wood, husband of Maria (Despres) (Hart) Wood, announces his passing which occurred on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB on March 31, 1952 he is the son of the late Ross and Pearl (Henri) Wood. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Patricia Hutchison and Mary Love.

In addition to his loving wife Maria, he is survived by his sons Tony Wood (Kelly) and Christopher Wood (Jessica), and their mother Judy Colwell; Kimberly Benoit (Andre) and Timothy Hart; cherished grandchildren Alex Fortune (Kalysa), Darien Wood, Tristan Ingersoll, Jack Long, Luke Benoit and Sophia Benoit; great grandson Kaysen; brothers Peter Wood, Brian Wood (Dianne), Ross Wood (Brenda), Michael Wood (Kathy) and Charlie Byers (Connie); sisters Rose Young, Donna Frigault and Madeline Finley (Doug); many nieces and nephews.

Bob worked for CPR and the Dry Dock in his earlier years, then owned and operated a janitorial service. He was an active member of Stephenson Tower Tenants Association; he was an active volunteer and loved helping seniors. Bob enjoyed going for drives and listening to old music and spending time with his grandchildren.
