With sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Robert James Warr, loving husband of 51 years to his cherished wife Faye, which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Bob was born on November 24, 1945 in Saint John, NB to the late Harold ‘Maxwell’ and Muriel (Williamson) Warr.
Along with his wife Faye, Bob is survived by his daughter Jennifer (Steve) Cook and 2 sons; Jeff (Lynn) Warr and Jamie (Amy) Warr. He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Alivia, Iain, Evan, Maxwell and Emmett.
In addition to his parents, Bob was predeceased by his sister Marilyn Warr and his grandson Christopher Cook.
Bob was a dedicated employee of N.B. Power for 29 years, creating many lifelong friendships along the way.
He lived for his family and was generous with his time, energy, and love. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
For those who knew Bob, he was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed playing volleyball and baseball until his kids and grandkids led him to years of coaching and becoming a super fan.
His grandchildren were a pure source of joy, family was always first.
Bob also made friends wherever he went, the rinks, ballfields, racetrack, coffee shop and yard sales as he always enjoyed a good deal. He was known to call a ‘spade a spade’ (his spade, of course) and for having a healthy appetite.
Bob loved to go for family drives and took pride in his North Shore home away from home.
He will always be missed by his pets, Jolie and Buddy.
Our family would like to say thank you to the doctors and nursing staff of Bobby’s Hospice and SJRH Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and compassion which was shown to Bob and our family.
Visitation hours will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) on Sunday, September 5th, 2021 between 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
