Robert Joseph Tobin

It is with great sadness the family of Robert "Bob" Joseph Tobin announce his passing on Monday, March 25, 2024 at the age of 70.  He was the beloved husband and best friend of Esther Tobin for over 51 years.  He will be dearly missed by his children Troy Tobin, Derek (Tiffany) Tobin, Jennifer (Rob Lavigne) Tobin and Melissa (Andrew) Gardner.  He was the much loved grandfather of Chantale, Tyler, Christian, Kelci, Dawn, Chloe, Jackson and Dakota and great-grandfather of Paislee.  He will also be dearly missed by his siblings Richard (Kathy) Tobin, Billy (Carol) Tobin, Tommy (Carol) Tobin, Ann Marie (Edward) Sautiere, Paula (Jocko) Cormier, Miriam (Brad) Irwin, Mary (Chris) Golding, Sandy (Teddy) Mazerolle and Theresa (Gerry) Arseneault.  Robert is predeceased by his parents Verna and Douglas Tobin.  His loss will also be felt by many other family members and friends.  Robert was a hard worker, fearless and a Jack of All Trades (Master of None), he loved his family, always putting their needs first.  Even after he lost both of his legs he never let anything slow him down.  He was never disabled, it all became a challenge for him to conquer and one he gladly took up.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 29th, 2024 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM.  A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday March 30th at 10:00 in the chapel.  Cremation and Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations to The War Amps, or a charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
