It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Robert Sterling Thompson on May 28,2026, after a hard battle with Cancer. He was born on March 9, 1961, in Chipman, NB to Sterling and Joyce (Michaud) Thompson.
For 38 years, Rob was a familiar and friendly face at Shoppers Drug Mart, where he took great pride in serving his customers and building lasting connections. He often shared stories about the wonderful people he worked with over the years, and he treasured the friendship of his best work buddy, Barb Golden.
Rob's love for family and friends was evident in everything he did. A devoted husband, beloved son, caring brother, and true friend, he leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured forever. He will be greatly missed.
Robert is survived by his wife, Elsa (Brown) and by his mother Joyce Thompson and by his sisters Kathy (Kevin), Carol (Bertie) (Calvin), and his brothers Cameron, Stacey (Darla) and Derek (Nadine); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his father Sterling.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses at extramural for their excellent support and care for Robert in his last few months, which allowed him to remain at home during his illness.

A private family burial will be held at a later date. For those who wish to honor Robert’s memory, donation can be made to a charity of their choices.
