It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Robert Joseph Malley which occurred unexpectedly on Saturday, May 23rd, 2020. Born 1956, in Newcastle, NB, he is the son of Alyre and Leona (Breau) Malley. Robert worked in the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers as an Insulator right out of school, until having to be operated on as a result of a brain tumor that put him on disability. Robert had a great sense of humour, a kind heart and a willingness to help. He enjoyed family gatherings, music, movies, card games, video games, slot machines, fishing and hunting.
Along with his parents, Robert is survived by his sisters Aurea Henry (Donald) of Saint John, Lea Parks (David) of Ottawa, Kathleen Marshall (Gregory) of Saint John, Bernice Goguen of Saint John, Angela Malley of Saint John, Debbie Hardcastle (Gary) of Guelph, ON; brother Joseph Malley (Lena) of Saint John; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Thank you to Greg Hebert at the Bicentennial Group Home for providing excellent care and giving independence and respect to Robert as his second family.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A private graveside will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
