It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Robert Warren Flood which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018. Born 1945, in Montreal, he was the son of the late Victor and Etta (Jones) Flood. Bob worked as a steel checker at the Saint John Ship Yard for 27 years. He later worked at McLellan’s as a grounds keeper for 10 years, retiring in 2011. Bob was an active supporter of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He volunteered for the Dominican with Life Aid. He enjoyed spending time at his cottage in Grand Lake. He loved feeding the deer at his home. Most of all, he cherished every moment spent with his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife Elaine (McGivery) of 46 years; sons Rob Flood (Laurie) of Saint John, Randy Flood of Moncton; daughter Tammy Flood of Rothesay; brothers Kenneth Flood (Blanche), Gerald Flood (Linda), Brian Flood (Elizabeth) all of Ontario; sisters Barbara Lavigne (Bill) of Ontario, Leona Robertson (John) of Nova Scotia; grandchildren Nicola, Ashley, Rebecca, and Rachel; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation being held on Saturday, February 24th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place from the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Sunday, February 25th at 3 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. Donations in Bob’s memory may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, Life Aid or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
