It is with heavy hearts that the family of Richard Joseph St. Pierre announce his passing, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 21, 2025. Born in Rivière-Bleue, Quebec on September 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Laurant and Elaine Marie (Marquis) St.Pierre.
Richard devoted 32 years of service as an Instrumentation Technician with Irving Pulp and Paper, retiring in 2001. He was a proud 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #6770.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Richard was an avid supporter of the Boston Bruins and could often be heard cheering them on from his favorite armchair. His greatest passion, however, was golf—a game he approached with both skill and dedication. When not on the golf course, he treasured time spent with his beloved grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart.
Above all, Richard’s deepest joy was sharing life with his loving wife Gloria, his true partner of 57 years. In their younger days, the two could often be found exploring the winding roads together on their Honda Goldwing, creating memories that would last a lifetime.
Richard will be lovingly remembered by his wife Gloria (Boudreau) St. Pierre; his son Rene; daughter Jocelyne (Kevin) Richard; and his cherished grandchildren Myles, Matthew, and Kash. He is also survived by his brothers Viateur (Yvonne) and Benard (Patty), and his sister Jocelyne (David) McMillan, along with many extended family members and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (506 646 2424). Visitation will take place on Saturday October 25, 2025, from 3-5 pm. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 5pm followed by a reception. For those looking to honour Richard may do so at the following charities Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Diabetes Foundation.
