BADEAU, Real Joseph

With heavy hearts, the family of Real Joseph Badeau announces his passing, which occurred peacefully, with his family at his side at Bobby’s Hospice on August 4, 2026. Born in Quebec on November 19, 1933, he was a son of the late Victor and Marie (Lavallée) Badeau.

During his working years, Real worked for the Fairville Department Store for 43 years that he enjoyed very much and where he made many lifelong friends. He loved his family and friends very deeply. He was a special, kind, and generous person with a sense of humour which he kept to the very end. And will always be remembered for his great smile.

Real is survived by his children; son David; daughters Beth Dexter (Karl), grandchildren: Ashley, Courtney (Corey), Meggie and Eric; great-grandchildren: Olivia, Kamden, and Cameron; sisters Margaret; Juliette, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Real was pre-deceased by his loving wife Margaret (Tremaine) Badeau of 53 years. 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
The family wishes to thank the staff of 5CS, Palliative care and Bobby’s hospice for their kind hands and kind hearts. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Chris O'Brien for his special care of our parents over the years. 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). In keeping with Real’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
