Raymond Wilfred Jones

With heavy hearts, the family of Raymond Jones announces his passing, which occurred on March 6th, 2019 at Bobby’s Hospice, surrounded by his family.  Raymond was born in Saint John on October 12, 1941; a son of the late Charles and Mary (Clements) Jones, and the loving husband of Yvonne (Sherwood) Jones. Raymond was retired after a 23 year career with Public Works Canada, and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and boxing. Along with his wife Yvonne, Raymond is survived by his sons Murray (Joanne) of Saint John, Brian of New York, daughter Liana Jones of Calgary, grandchildren Taylor and Brendan, as well as sisters Lena Ewart, and Norma Greenslade, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by brothers Charles, Cecil, Ronald, and Murray, as well as sisters Della Carson, Doreen Jones, and Marjorie Robichaud. Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John. In keeping with Raymond’s wishes, cremation will take place, and there will be no visitation. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 9th from 1-3 p.m at his residence, 60 Pokiok Road.  For those who wish, remembrances to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
