Raymond I. Duplessie

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Raymond Isdore Duplessie which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 16th, 2021.  Born 1935, in Loggieville, NB, he was the son of the late Jean “Jack” Baptiste and Irene Duplessie.  In his earlier years, Raymond worked as a Carpenter.  He later became a Miner at the Sussex Potash Mine.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing guitar. 

Raymond is survived by his loving and devoted wife Joan (Pilmer) of Rothesay, NB; sons Jeff (Michelle) of Hampton, NB, John (Tammy) of Kingston, NB; daughter Julie (Danny) of Sussex, NB; grandchildren Sarah, Ehren, Jacob, Josie, Aurora and Aidan; great grandchildren Aylah and Jericho; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  Along with his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his sisters Josephine and Theresa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Due to the ongoing pandemic, services will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Raymond may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
