Randall "Randy" Clifford Herrell

It is with immense sadness that the family of Randall “Randy” Clifford Herrell, beloved husband of Lynn Herrell, announces his unexpected passing on December 19, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB, on January 11, 1957, he was the son of the late Clifford and Helen (Baxter) Herrell.

Randy was first and foremost a much loved and amazing husband, father, Papa, and brother. His family was his life. He was a friend to all who met him. He was an intelligent man with an analytical mind who was always inquisitive about everything. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowshoeing, bird watching, and many other activities - always with family at his side. His smile and presence lit up the room. He had a smile that would melt your heart and gave the best bear hugs. Never was there a man who was more loved than Randy!

Randy is survived by the love of his life Lynn; his children: Patrick (Danielle) and Shannon; grandchildren: Chloe, Braydon, and Claire; sister: Ruth Branscombe (David); brother: Kennie (Bonnie); as well as his special uncle Malcolm (Delcia) Baxter.

Randy’s family wish to extend an immense thank you to the staff and doctors of the SJRH SICU for their care and compassion. You truly went above and beyond to keep him comfortable and informed, and for that we are forever grateful.

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd., Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). A visitation will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 4PM – 8PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 10AM. Donations in memory of Randy can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
