Philip Jenkins Obituary

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I, Blair Surette (Sandra) of Clifton Royal, announce the passing of my best friend and adopted brother of approximately 50 years, Philip Jenkins.  Born 1959, in Saint John, he was the son of the late Ronald and Vera Jenkins.  Phil passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020.  He and I met in grade 6 and soon became friends.  We grew up together, spending summers at his parents camp on Hunter’s Lake.  Phil was the best man at my wedding, he was uncle Phil to my boys and he loved to spoil them as his own.  He had a long career as a cook at the Loch Lomond Villa.  A better friend could not be asked for.  Peace my friend, you will be missed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424).  Due to Covid health restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Phil may be made to The Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
