Peter Allison Wood

On December 30th, 2024, Peter Allison Wood, son of the late Pearl Barbara (Henry) Wood and Ross Arthur Wood, passed away unexpectantly at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 76. 

Peter worked hard in his younger years as a labourer. He would do anything for anyone and his witty sense of humor is what stood out the most to everyone. In his later years of life, he suffered with many challenges that led him down a path that he couldn't resist which steered him in the wrong direction. Through all of this though, Pete had a heart of gold and his family meant everything to him. For the times we would get to see him, he would always have a big hug and smile on his face, and a "love ya", which he meant. He truly did love his family. 

Even though Pete had many issues and hardships and in need himself, he managed to be an inspiration to the people of Street Team Saint John who raised $10,000 to help the needy, by just being himself. 

Peter is survived by his sisters Rose Young, Madeline (Doug); brothers Brian (Dianne), Ross (Brenda), Michael (Kathy) and Chuck (Connie); several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his sisters Mary, Patsy, Donna and his brother Bob. 

We would like to thank everyone involved during Peter's brief hospitalization who helped make him more comfortable as he transitioned over from this life. 

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424). A private family service will be held.
