Pauline Sadie Hughes-McKillop

It is with profound sadness the family of Pauline Hughes-McKillop announce her passing which occurred on Sunday November 13, 2022 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Sussex, NB on October 23, 1941; she was the daughter of the late Russell and Jennie Mae (Prosser) Richardson. Pauline was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was owner and operator of Fundy Trail Convenience and retired in the early 2000’s.  Active in her community; she was a part of Lakewood Head start program, Thursday Morning Ladies Bowling Club and was active with St. Joseph’s Church as a member of CWL and a Commissioned Lay Minister. 

Pauline leaves behind to mourn; her daughter Donna Marie Callaghan (Cal); son-in-law Jason Wells; step-son Robert McKillop (Marie); grandchildren Jordan, Bryce, Kiana, Matthew and Kaitlyn; great-grandchildren Liam Barton and Lily Martin; sister Minnie Redfern; brother John Richardson (Josie); several nieces, nephews; and extended family of Prince Edward Island.

 Along with her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her first husband Leonard Hughes; her beloved daughter Mary Anne Wells; second husband Bob McKillop; her siblings Mary Richardson, Laura Clements, Lena Spellman-(Patterson), Lloyd Richardson, Everett Richardson, Lorraine Hughes and infant brother Joe Richardson.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, N.B. (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday November 15th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Loch Lomond, on Wednesday November 16 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in Pauline’s memory may be made to  Bobby’s Hospice, The Hope Center or the charity of the donor’s choice.

The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the Doctors, Nurses, and Staff of Bobby’s Hospice. Special thanks to Dr. Love and to the CWL and special friends Debbie Leveque, Annette Robichaud, Amelia Ann Dignard and Mavis Drummond.
