Paulette Snow Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Paulette Marie Snow announce her passing on May 25, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 72.

Born in Moncton, N.B. she was the second oldest child of seven to Edmond (Ed) and Rita (Maillet) Babin.

Paulette graduated from Mathieu Martin High School and then continued her studies at Olton’s Business College. She later became a stay-at-home Mom as she raised her family. Paulette was very involved with Sea Cadets and youth. She obtained the rank of Lt.(N) and was the Commanding Officer for #268 Bras D’Or, and #122 Moncton Sea Cadet Corps. Paulette was a graduate from the Lay Ministry Formation for the Diocese of Saint John and she worked with Chris doing prison ministry at the Saint John Regional Correctional Facility for over 10 years. She was very involved in the church as a lector, alter server and catechistic teacher in the various parishes where she lived. When she rejoined the work force, Paulette worked as a Manager for Xerox Canada for many years. After her retirement, Paulette worked with her husband in their company Eastern Gas Services Inc. where she was the V.P. of Finance & Operations. They sold their company in March of 2026 after 13 years of offering Compressed Gas Training across Atlantic Canada. Paulette was a long-standing member of TOPS NB 4041 of Quispamsis. She was a KOP and the chapters official weight recorder. She was close to the members always being thoughtful and encouraging.

Apart from being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Paulette’s interests included reading, puzzles, playing bridge and travel. She would knit Christmas Stockings for each family member as they arrived. Paulette would move over to the family summer home on Kennebecasis Island each May long weekend and remain until Thanksgiving or later. During this time she would plant vegetable and flower gardens, take long walks, but most of all she would pick wild blackberries which in turn became blackberry jelly. Bottles were given out too many and if you were fortune enough to get one you would know just how good they were.

Paulette lives in our hearts as a reminder of strength, perseverance, love and compassion. Though we will mourn her loss daily we are comforted by the fact that Paulette now rests in the arms of the Saviour, free from pain and sorrow, and rejoicing in the presence of God.

Paulette is survived by her husband, Chris Snow of Quispamsis, NB, her daughter Lisa Snow, of Quispamsis, NB, her son Anthony Snow (Nicola) of Cold Lake, Alberta, brothers Aldric (Rick) (Bernadette) Babin, Charles Babin, Maurice (Moe) Babin, sisters Denise (Peter) Wynberg and Gisele (Guy) Maillet; Grandson, Adrain Snow, Granddaughters, Jasmine Snow, Jordan Fowler, Mya Snow and Great-granddaughter, Paige Fowler. Chris’s sister, Susan (Gerry) Linfield. Paulette was predeceased by her Father and Mother, Edmond (Ed) and Rita Babin, and her sister Jacqueline (Terrence, Terry) Leger.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 28th from 4-7 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, NB,  on Friday, May 29th, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
