Paul LeBlanc Obituary

It is with tender hearts that the family of Paul LeBlanc announces his passing which occurred at his home in Hampton, New Brunswick on November 26th, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Paul, husband of Claudia Stackhouse-LeBlanc was born on October 3rd, 1944 in Saint John, NB to the late Ivan LeBlanc and Mary (Richard) (LeBlanc) Oulette.

Paul attended St. Malachy's Memorial High School and later worked at McAvity's as well as the Saint John Dry Dock, Strescon, Irving Tug Boats and Summerville Flooring. He was a member of Kings Church where he sang in the choir for many years.

Paul loved spiritual and country music and enjoyed listening to Dolly Parton and George Jones. He loved chess and puzzles and his favorite movie was the “Ten Commandments”. The greatest joy in Paul's life were his children and grandchildren. Paul and his wife Claudia were foster parents for 18 years. Paul was a family man that delighted in seeing his children succeed. Paul and Claudia, his loving wife and best friend were married for 33 years, and together they spent time loving their grandchildren. 

Paul is survived by his children: Paul R. LeBlanc (Karen), Paula Patterson (Phil), Michelle LeBlanc (Adam Hickey), Ricky C. LeBlanc (Denecca Renyolds), Terry Morton, Shelley Morton (Bill Hart), James Morton, Laurie LeBlanc (Craig Wood), Julie Curley (Jeff).

He is also survived by his grandchildren: Brittany (Caleb), Victoria, Alexandria, McKenzie, Tyler, Jarrod, Dawson, Keigan, Jaxon, Weston, Andrew (Jenn), Brady (Tegan), Dakota, Marik, Jordan, Matthew, Lena, MacKenzie, Jackson, Emile, Emma, Joshua, Jacob, Destiny and Preston, and five great grandchildren, sisters: Murial Langlais (Emile), Dianna Chaisson, Alma Dorion (John) and Shirley Musson (Tony), brothers: Richard (Diane), Emery (Shelley) and his aunt Flavie LeBlanc. Also survived by his brothers in-law Ken Stackhouse (Marilyn) Randy (Valerie) John (Debbie), Camille, sisters in-law Irma LeBlanc, Debbie Stephens ( Doug) Pat Stackhouse-Gallant (Lloyd) and Erma LeBlanc. Paul is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Paul was predeceased by brothers: Roger, Baby Bobby, Robert, sister Linda Gibbons (Wayne), grandson Cody, brother in-law Ron Stackhouse, son in-law, Emile LeBlanc, father and mother in-law Gordon and Norma Stackhouse.

Special thanks to Dr. Bridgette Tuska and to Paul and Claudia's good friend Judy Smith, who was always there for them.

Paul will be resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation on Wednesday, November 28th between 2-8 pm and Thursday from 12-1 pm with the funeral service at 1:00pm in the Fundy Chapel .

 In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the Kings Church Love Week or Autism Canada.
