Paul LeBlanc Obituary

It is with crushed hearts that the family of Paul Joseph William LeBlanc announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 13, 2024.  Born on April 19th, 1953 in Saint John, Paul was a son of the late Arthur “Blackie” and Theresa (Monteith) LeBlanc.  He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Dawn LeBlanc (Morton) who cherished each moment of their 54 years together and 51 years of marriage.  He will also be greatly missed by his 6 children: Rob LeBlanc (Cheyanne) of Saint John, Wil LeBlanc of Vancouver, Scott LeBlanc (Petula) of Ontario, Amanda LeBlanc-Jovi (Nina) of Maine, and Nick LeBlanc (Amy)of Hampton; his grandchildren:  Ryan, Hunter, Carley, Oakland & Emberland; his brother Roger LeBlanc (Betty) of Saint John; and his furbabies:  Scrappy & Moo. Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his brother Joey LeBlanc.

Paul worked for his family business, A & J Burner Service & enjoyed talking about his time working on furnaces. Paul was known for his feisty streak and could be quite stubborn when he wanted to be.  He took great joy in hunting, fishing, calling his children & leaving voicemails, watching professional wrestling, and being behind the wheel for a good road trip.  Especially his trips to Sussex for his veggies and banter with “the old man”.

Once Paul was blessed with grandchildren, his own children were blessed to witness a softer side of their father, a different version than they had known. Paul loved being a grandfather, father & husband.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424).  Visitation will be held on Thursday April 18, 2024 from 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm & 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm in the funeral home.  A private funeral service for the family will be held.

Please don’t send flowers as Paul felt like they were a waste however ….

Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue, Pte. David Robert Greenslade Memorial Bursary or a charity of your personal choice would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank the SJRH SICU team for their amazing care & support during Paul’s stay. They provided comfort & dignity during his final hours. Much gratitude to Leanne.
