It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Patricia “Patsy” Evelyn Hannah, which occurred on Monday, April 27th, 2026, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on April 27th, 1938, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Leo and Edna (McCann) Hannah. Patsy worked as an Office Clerk at the SMT Building and Red Cross. She enjoyed reading, knitting, scratch tickets, having Tim Horton’s coffee at the mall and spending time with Florence. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Patsy is survived by her nieces & nephews; Danny (Anne Marie), Denise (the late Pat), Cathy, Jacqueline (Dan), Eileen (Jamie), Debbie (Glen), Theresa (Sundar), Michael (Yasuhiro), Joanne (Greg) and Joe; as well as many great & great-great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Patsy was predeceased by her sisters Leona and Florence, brothers James and Joseph; brother-in-law Arthur, sisters-in-law Barbara & Eileen and nephews Donald & Pat.
A special thank you to Dr. Luan Le and the doctors, nurses and staff of the SJRH-Palliative Care Unit. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Thursday, April 30th from 1:30 till 2:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow in the chapel, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in memory of Patsy may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
