Patricia Parks Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Parks on July 11, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side.  She was born on October 20, 1948 in Saint John, NB to the late George Rueuel and Margarite (Kearns) Parks and was the loving partner of 39 years to Judith Wright.

Patsy was a Machinist with Kimberly Clarke before joining the team at ICS Courier.  She was a hard worker and made friends with lots of people on her routes, before retiring in 1993.  To know Patsy was to love Patsy. She was a genuine and sweet person with a smile that lit up every room.  She was kind - almost to a fault - compassionate and generous.  She was observant and took everything in and was able to relate to the situation at hand perfectly.  She could play with kids as if she were one of them then turn around and be the adult in the room just as easy.  Her and Judy loved to travel all over, whether cross country in Canada or to spots throughout the US.  Both loved to just be spontaneous and jump in the truck or haul the trailer and go wherever they felt like at a moment’s notice.  She loved to play cards and spend as much time with her family as possible, and was infamous for her peanut butter cookies.  Her nieces and nephews loved to be around her, and she always had some treat she could give to them when she saw them.  She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed it immensely, even through all the hardships she faced through the years.  Patsy was taken far too soon and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

In addition to her partner, Judy, she is survived by her brothers, Randy (Darlene) and Kevin (Anne); sisters, Janice (John), Sharon and Marilyn (Raymond); sisters-in-law, Annette and Laurinda; special nieces, Marena Burke and Kathie Slattery, special nephew, Aden Bryant, puppy dog, Suzie and her kitty, Spuddy; as well as several adored nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Delbert, Brian, Berney, Dwayne and Michael.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). It was Patsy’s wishes that no visitation would be held.  A funeral service, by invite only, will take place on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.  If you would like to be invited to the funeral, please contact kathieslattery@icloud.com to have your name added.  For those unable to attend the funeral  you are invited to watch the service online  here https://www.oneroomstreaming.com/view/authorise.php?k=159466157167353.

For those who wish, donations in her memory to the SPCA Animal Rescue League, the Shriners Sick Kids Hospital or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
